Legal Aid
For many low-income Greenville residents, access to legal aid for advice, counsel or representation, is often out of reach. We are grateful to SC Legal Aid, and to the Price Law Firm who offers volunteer legal assistance for those who otherwise cannot afford it, through the Triune Mercy Center. Greenville lawyer James Price carries on the tradition of volunteerism his father, the late James “Chip” Price started at Triune, by offering free legal aid services to those in need.
On Wednesdays between 9 and 11 a.m., volunteer legal aid is available, along with other social services, including case management, medical access, financial counseling, and drug and alcohol recovery resources.
Triune is proud to also partner with Time Served, a non-profit legal aid organization with offices on our third floor. Time Served offers free legal services to currently and formerly incarcerated South Carolinians, with the goal of providing an opportunity for a fresh start upon release, free of the permanent stigma that currently attaches to those with criminal records.
